The Starfish Crew
Who We Are
The Starfish Crew is a group of community members from Fredericton and its surrounding areas. We are people from diverse backgrounds who share a common goal: supporting people experiencing homelessness in our city.
At present, we are a grassroots effort run by volunteers and supported through community donations.
Our Mission
We are inspired by the philosophy of the Starfish Story—the idea that while we may not be able to solve a problem as large as homelessness on our own, every individual act of kindness can make a real difference in someone’s life.
Our aim is to support people experiencing homelessness through direct outreach, connection, and community action—because every person we can help matters.
Our Current Efforts
Every Monday and Tuesday, our team goes out into the Fredericton community to provide bagged meals to individuals living on the streets. But our work goes beyond food.
We focus on building genuine connections and relationships with the people we meet. By spending time, listening, and getting to know individuals by name, we hope to create moments of dignity, compassion, and human connection.
